For the holiday season Front Gallery will present the jewelry work of Andrea Corson who is an artist that defies categorization. Born out of a contempt for waste, and a flair for elevating the miscellanies of everyday life, her work is an ongoing synthesis of all things high and low from trash to snapshots to spoken words. It is witty, challenging, ornamental, quizzical and delightful. Her wearable pieces are cast in sterling silver and bronze from found objects and hand worked waxes. Her work will be coupled with handcrafted bowls and containers by SEramics™. Corson has a BFA in sculpture from Syracuse University, and an MFA in sculpture from Cranbrook Academy. She lives and works in New York.
Jewelry prices range from $100-$1000. Ceramic prices range from $30-$300. |
